Getting Mom's hair washed

Dad has been paying $35. + tip to have Mom's hair washed and dried. Is there a more reasonable price available? We live close to Palmer. Suggestions please. Thanks.

Wow, that's ridiculous. I would just call around to some different salons to get prices. Surely there is a better deal than that. Try Cal's.

Call one of those chain places that take men, women and children like Fantastic Sams over in the Best Buy Shopping Center. Men can get a haircut for $15 or $20, so a washing shouldn't be too much.

Some folks can't stand or lean their head backwards.

Helene and Henry washed mine over the sink during my recovery a few weeks ago. I had to keep bandage dry and was too weak to do it myself initially.

Sometimes any port in a storm.

I think having it done at home causes a problem. I tried that for a while and trying to lean my head back over our utility sink was very painful. It kind of takes away from the whole head massage experience you get when you have your hair done. Try The Hair Cuttery in Pinnelas or Mulberry. You could call and check first on the price.

I had shoulder surgery done and needed mine done for several weeks. Tried Hair Cuttery. She charged me $35 and made me furious when I heard her scissors snipping what she said were uneven places. Needless to say, I never went back.

Try the assisted living facilities they usually have beauty salons. Maybe they can help you

Have you thought about TENAJ Salon institute? They are students and their prices are under $10 for a wash and style. It is located behind Walmart. My experience is that they are a bit slower, but do a great job, and the price cannot be beat
