Winter Crowds ???

We visited TV for a day in Oct. and knew immediately it would be our retirement home. I've read a few posts about the crowds and waits during Snowbird season.... Just how bad is it? It was tremendous in Oct. so do we even need to worry about it?
Thanks!

No....do not worry about it. This is a subject with the usual

relative perspectives. If you need to eat at 5 pm and be seated with no waiting....you no doubt have problems no matter where you go.
Is there a difference in the population (crowds = negative aspect) yes. Is there more traffic.....for those of us here all the time yes. For those who are coming from bigger cities...you won't know the difference until you have been here for a full cycle. Crowded restaurants....the good ones are always crowded, it is a matter of how long of a wait....usually no longer than a wait at any good/popular place that does not take reservations. And of course the traffic is heavier than in the summer. And a whole bunch of other stuff.
TYPICAL FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and yes the golf courses are busier. And yes you will hear how terrible it is and how people couldn't get a t time....but if you use the system the way it is supposed to be used you will have NO problem getting a t time.

Should that weigh in on ones decision whether to come or not.....I wouldn't give it a consideration weight of 1%......

Lots of people complain that the snowbirds make for crowded conditions, etc, but, hey, folks, a good majority of the snowbirds also own their own homes here and should feel free to use them as they want. Those who rent are helping other owners! A lot of the businesses in TV are dependent upon those crowded winters. So lighten up and enjoy this Paradise! It's meant for all of us, not just those who live here year round. And, yes, this is my full time home.

For those who complain most often about not being able to get a tee time during the busy months, it translates to they cannot get the times they want (the prime times) but there are tee times to be had.

Actually, I like it when the snowbirds are here. There is more hustle and bustle. Sometimes it seems almost dead, in the summer months. We have lived here for eight years and have only had our tee time rejected twice. Most of the time we get close to our asking time and course.
