Luxury Vinyl Tile

Hi Everyone. We're considering putting LVT planks down in our kitchen and bathrooms but are quickly becoming overwhelmed with the different types (glue-down vs click lock) and all the manufacturers. Since we don't know anyone who has had this installed, we're looking for input from our TOTV community.

If you've had Luxury Vinyl Tile Planks installed in your home could you provide some feedback on the product you chose, where you purchased it and how it was installed? Also, how happy are you with it? Pros...Cons? Would you install it again or choose a different product?

Thanks for any and all input.
Pat

Installed clicket in our bed room in Pittsburgh and love it. Going to install in our kitchen over tile.

We had it installed in all our bedrooms. Love it, easy to take care of. Everyone who has come over thought we put down wood. It was glued down, but you can always remove a plank with a hair dryer if one gets damaged.

Nickle Tile did ours. they also did some ceramic tile work for us too. We'd recommend them.

Be careful if you install over your existing tile, you may not be able to get the dishwasher out if it needs repair or replacement. Also, it will be very difficult to get the refrigerator out if you do not install under it. I had this exact same problem back up north, had to break the glue bonds on the counter top, jack it up to get dishwasher out. This was a wood and laminate counter top, no idea about stone.
Bottom line, make sure you will have clearance for maintenance of appliances, or consider removing the tile.

We just had LVT installed yesterday and love it. We researched the various brands extensively and went with CorTec. It is floating and has a cork layer for a softer feel. Abbey Flooring did the installation and they did a fabulous job. Feel free to contact me if you would like to see ours. Abbey also installed it on the wall beneath our counter and it looks really nice.

TennisGal516...I sent you a private message. Would love to see your LVT and talk about the product and installation.
