Back from Lifestyle visit
My husband and I just got back from our Lifestyle visit and we loved the Villages. Every one we met was so nice and friendly. I emailed all our family and friends the Village web address and told them this is probably where we will retire. We have one son still in college till spring, so hopefully he'll get a job so we can put our house up for sale. We're coming back next summer for a couple of weeks to see if we want to buy a place permanetly or travel back and forth. We looked at another place when we were there and it was so quiet.

Was it your first visit?
What helped you make the decision? |
We've been looking in Texas but it's mostly trailer parks, or housing communities with RV parts down the street. There's to much trouble down by the border, and you can only go over the border at Progresso, and even then the Mexican army is there with tanks. All most all the eateries are fast food or Mexican, ( I love mexican) or they have Chilies and Olive Garden. There are no bars, so you have to go to Chilies for a drink. My husband and I are still in our fifties, so we don't just want to go down to the community center every night. We need something more to do. I don't think we'll get bored in the villages. It was our first time to Florida, with our vacations mostly out of the country, and we loved it. We're going to the Gulf Coast in March and plan on going back to the Villages this summer for a couple of weeks

Interesting.
We came down here in 1997 as a corporate move. Makes moving an hour away a little easier. But it still is a decision. Good luck! |
