She seemed to gain about 40 lbs of muscle from the very beginning of the film through the trip to the island.

Has some good special effects and the lead actress is extremely easy on the eyes. Alicia Vikander - Rotten Tomatoes

All of the Tomb Raider movies are based on the character from a video game series but this movie seemed based on one particular game in the series that I played on my XBox One a few years ago. Some interesting story changes, though. Overall, a fun film though not a great one by any means.

I liked Alicia Vikander better as the lead than Angelina Jolie. With Jolie, you got a sense of unfailability. With Vikander, chances for success seemed dicey at best.

The Alicia Vikander Lara Croft did seem a lot more vulnerable than the Angelina Jolie one as you write. Vikander has a very strong Swedish accent in interviews and is amusing.

I hope they make another one of these with Vikander. Not sure how the box office went for it. That is usually the determining factor.
