Keyless car thefts on the rise

Keyless car thefts triple in worst hit areas in Britain like Warwickshire, Hampshire and Norfolk | Daily Mail Online

This is in England, but thieves have same tech here.

Read article to see what they do and how to combat it.

not just England but Europe-wide. most people leave their keys on a table once they enter their house. the thieves use an amplifier to boost the keyfob's signal so that the car thinks the owner is next to the car. the thief can unlock the car, start it up, and drive away. one way to prevent this is to keep the fob as far away from the car as possible when you go home or buy a signal blocking bag or box to put them in.

IF you have a garage to lock, that's a good idea!

Faraday Bags

A few years ago I bought a wallet with a built in Faraday layer so my cards could not be scanned.
