Visual Voicemail on iPhone
 

A few days ago my husband's iphone started using something called Visual Voicemail. He did not want it so I called Verizon (our carrier) and got it disabled. But now when he gets a voicemail he cannot access it. We spent 2 hours on the phone with Verizon tech support (tiers 1 and 2) and they cannot figure it out. They elevated it to Tier 3 support, who is supposed to call us back within 72 hours. In the meantime wondering if anyone else has this issue.

The voicemail icon in the lower right hand corner does not show a number (to reflect number of voicemails) like it used to and he is not getting any voicemails.

Wondering if this was caused by latest Apple update? But I have same phone (iphone SE) and I don't have the problem.

try searching on Google.

This may sound stupid, but have you tried powering off your iPhone. Then turning it back on?

photo1902- yes tried that multiple times.

Googled problem and saw others had problem- one person had it solved by Verizon after multiple attempts dealing with various levels of support. Others blamed Apple updates for the problem.
