Missing: White cat in Hemingway

We just brought our white, long-haired cat to the Villages this weekend and she has disappeared. Her name is Zao, and she is medium-sized with one yellow eye and one blue one. If anyone has seen her (most likely near Nash Loop), please call us at 352-391-5066. Thanks!

SQ,

Our neighbors lost their kitty as well - she was found healthy 2 days later sitting on the golf cart!

Can you leave your garage door partly open to give her a place to seek shelter?

Good luck!

Kate

Hoping you find your precious cat! I had that happen to us when we first moved to Florida and we found our precious kitty several houses down way up in a tree freightned to death!!! She never left the house, so I know she was freeked about the move!! You will find your cat, I am sure!

Oh she sounds so pretty. I don't think she will be harmed and I think Kate's idea of leaving the garage up a little is a good one and maybe putting food out.

I know she will come home. They almost always do.

Our kitties would lie low I think because they too have never been outside. But Food at all of the doorways might be a good idea.

Hi Susie,

I found this article with some additional good ideas on finding a missing cat.

Please let us know when you find her so we can all be relieved for you and cheer. Best wishes.

Lost and Found

Pturner, excellent article. Many years ago I moved from a small peaceful town to NYC with my two cats. I had a rental car and during the move I lost one of the cats and searched for hours. Fearful that she would never find me in this chaotic town I was devastated.:cryin2: While driving to return the rental car, I heard a small meow and found my little friend up in the seat. Not under the seat where I had looked dozens of times, but up in the seat, tucked away in a corner. Pure joy....
Susieq keep looking and go out at night when it's quiet and call her name. Good luck, let us know what happens.

If she is hungry, she may go to the area around Havana restaurant. There's always a smell of cooked meat around there. When we ate there a few months ago, there was a ferrel cat and her kittens that were fed by the customers when they creeped up to the porch area. We were guilty of feeding them too They were so cute! There are a lot of bushes around that area where she could hide. Good luck finding her. Let us know when you find her. BTW, I had my cat disappear on me right before I was going to travel to London. He showed up right before the day I left. He was missing for a few days. He may have been shut up in someone's garage!

Any News?

Has anyone heard? Has kitty been found?

Sorry to hear that this happened just as you are starting your new life there.

she was found!

thank you concerned neighbors. zao had disappeared in the house, holed up behind some boxes way in the back of a closet. for the first few weeks after her relocation she kept disappearing into all sorts of nooks and crannies in her new home.
she is now all adjusted and except for putting on a few pounds (she does not get the exercise she had in her old yard in pennsylvania) she is enjoying life in the villages.
and she continues to give us much joy.
