Homosassa Restaurants

We will be in the Homosassa area on Sunday. Are there any restaurants, any type, that TOTV members would recommend?

Taverna Manos in Crystal River. Only a few miles away and outstanding.

Peck's Old Port Cove, 139 N Ozello Trail, Crystal River, Florida 34429. You will think you are lost as you drive down Ozello Trail following your GPS but the food is good.

We just love going to The Freezer with our friends. Very busy/noisy, you have to find your own table, and order at a counter, but it's different, fun, and the food is great. They cook shrimp to perfection.

Plantation Inn on Chrystal River

The Plantation Inn on Chrystal River has an excellent restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Definitely excellent shrimp!

Both The Freezer and Perks are great choices. The Freezer is more boisterous and has a fun atmosphere about it and the shrimp are great...menu is somewhat limited. People are there to drink as much as to eat. If you want something a tad more low key then try Perks. Much larger selection and it's on the water so you can sit outside and enjoy the view. Food is awesome too. There's another restaurant where you can sit and watch "Monkey Island", an actual little island inhabited by a handful of monkeys. They live there and someone brings them their food by boat everyday. It's entertaining to watch. If you google "Monkey Island" restaurant the name should pop up. It's near The Freezer.

"Perks"? You mean Pecks? That's in Crystal River.
The restaurant at Monkey Island is the Riverside and it's gone.
