How do I quit seeing Political Forum?
 

Back before I became thoroughly disgusted with the tone of the political forum I sometimes made postings there.

I think I did something to make the Political Forum the first thing that I saw. Now, I no longer want to see this forum at all. Can someone tell me how to make it quit being the first thing that I see every time I open TOTV?

I discontinued from that a couple of years ago, but from memory you need to go to 'usercp' and scroll down the left side to subscriptions, and look for it listed. Somewhere in that area you are subscribed. Althought if it's not in use, and you hit new posts, I don't know why it would come up.

You are accessing the site through either a bookmark/favorite or a shortcut you have created. Just delete that and create a new one when you are on the main TOTV site.

I’m not very computer literate but suspect you are using a favorite shortcut as I have the same thing. I just haven’t deleted this bookmark on my Ipad and made a new one. That said you think I might be ready for Geek Squad at Best Buy.

Unless it was bookmarked on someone's computer, there is no way to get to it...because it doesn't show up on 'TOTV Home' as a forum anymore.

I'll ignore it.
 

I've tried both of the suggested methods, without success. I'll just live with it. It comes up and I ignore it.

Did you try contacting site admin?

Click on 'New Posts.'

Bookmark that page and put it in the same place wherever (Bookmarks Toolbar?)...you have the current way you access TOTV.

Make sure the new link/bookmark works...then delete the old one that takes you to the Political Forum.

It works.
 

A little awkward, since it doesn't show initial TOTV page, but it works.

Then bookmark 'Home' in the upper left, which will show all of the forums...and repeat the exact same steps.
