Dell Inspiron Keyboard Question

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 13 (also says 5000 on it).

Whereas on my Toshiba, hitting the Home key brought you to the top of the page and hitting the End key takes you to the bottom, the Dell's Home & End keys do not do that unless I hit the Function key with it.

Is this just something I need to live with, or is there a setting I can change?

Thanks for any enlightenment.

It's called remapping.

Dell had a utility to do that or you can change that in your operating system.

Do a search for instructions.

Thank you for the term. I will contact our son about remapping. He's my fixer-upper (via TeamViewer).

Sure

Mapping can be done on a few levels;
The Dell fix will be a universal fix for the keyboard itself
The Windows fix will probably fix in most or all Windows apps.
Browsers have plug-ins/extensions to change shortcut commands if you do not want a global fix.

PM me with you TeamViewer info if he has trouble.
