Again Kane's Furniture - Don't Buy There
 

We purchased a living room set (Sofa,Love Seat, Recliner) at Kane's Ocala. We sat in the set in the show room very comfortable and the sales clerk said it had been on the floor for almost a year. When we received our set it was very uncomfortable and we were told it would take a time for it to break in. Its been a little over a year the set is still uncomfortable and totally worn out. You need to use two pillows to set on the thing sags so much and the cardboard under the arms has given out. Kane's advertises a guaranteed for life but they don't guarantee anything but the frame and then only if it breaks were there a knot in the wood. In summary Kane's sales people have no integrity which I believe is required of them in order to work at Kane's. I don't know of any place better but we are starting are search to replace this buying mistake.

Better quality but slightly more expensives is Blockers. Across the parking behind Kanes in Ocala. As mentioned above, Babettes on 441 in Leesburg across from the airport. Slightly more expensive than Blockers, but carries name brand items like Flexsteel. Babettes is also building a store at Brownwood for fall opening.

We had purchased several so called leather pieces at Kanes 7 years ago, but they turned out to be bonded leather and all wore in a couple of years. We were looking for something inexpensive but better quality and we found that at Badcock Furniture in Wildwood. Prices are very reasonable and even though the furniture is most likely made in China, they use poly material that looks like leather but doesn't wear-out like bonded leather. We bought this set about two years ago and it looks like new. $700 for the loveseat and $400 each for two recliners, we now have a nice TV viewing area, also available in Brown.

We feel good about buying furniture at Babbettes. I hear they are opening a new location south in The Villages area.
