Need someone to drill a hole

I would like to relocate the screw that holds up the metal wall art on our house by the front door. The construction of our home is concrete, block and stucco. We don't have the proper equipment to make a hole for the screw that holds up the metal art. Do you know of anyone who can do this and is willing just to make one hole in the exterior wall of the house?

I would ask your neighbors....if it's anything like ours every tool ever made exists somewhere within a couple blocks. If your neighborhood is on Nextdoor, you can post it their also.

I am sure you have a drill then all you need is a carbide bit available at any hardware stores in the area.

They make hardware (nail and hanger) that is made especially to use on concrete. I hammered the nail in and hung the metal wall art outside our front door and it's been securely there for the past 2 yrs. Cheap and easy.

We do have a drill but it is not strong enough to drill into concrete.

BoatRatKat..... All I have to do is hammer in a nail to make a hole? My goodness. That seems easy enough. Where did you purchase this nail and hanger make especially for concrete?

Dear Coffeebean,

You can do this a few ways, but the best way is typically using a carbide concrete drill bit and a cordless hammer drill and the correct Tapcon screw. These screws are made for concrete and are painted blue. As others have said, most folks have a handy neighbor close by who would do this for you, sometimes for the cost of one cold beer.....

They do make hardened concrete nails...I have used them before. You do need to be a bit careful with using them, and always wear eye protection.
