Culver's frozen custard very good but...

Like most of us i've been eating icecream in one form or another for many years...We stopped at Culver's and purchased a small vanilla in a cup...not my first time...it is very creamy and tasty. So right after that we went to Ollies and purchased a small vanilla in a cup to compare...i'm by no means an ice cream expert but have had a LOT of experience eating it :)....my opinion is that Ollies is much richer and much more flavorful than Culver's, not quite as smooth but definitely better...IMHO...

Where’s this “Ollie’s” you speak highly of? Sounds like we have to try it; hope it’s as good as Ted Drew’s in St. Louis!!

Sounds like we’ll have to stop at Ollie’s to try theirs, although Culver’s is frozen custard, not ice cream.

Ollie’s is hidden in a corner next to First Watch, four doors from Subway. You really have to look for it.

Tried Culvers custard- tasted just like McDs an costs more than twice as much. Ollies is definitely better(IMHO)

I've been unable to eat the custard at Culver's because everytime we go, I get the 6 piece shrimp dinner with cole slaw and fries, and it's great but leaves no room for desert. So thanks for the heads up Bill32, I'll have to try that place.

Welcome to Ollie's Frozen Custard!

Good call Willie32. Friday's flavor of the day is Chocolate Marshmallow. I'm there. Salted Caramel and Pecan today.

Slightly surprised a place can make it not serving any lunch food other than Nathans franks, but what do I know.

Ollie’s turtle Sunday is the best.

Mystic Ice Cream (466a Fruitland Park) the ice cream parlor for grown ups--never had any rum raisin ice cream that comes close to theirs

Ollie's is in the Spanish Plains Plaza. I actually LOVE the ice cream they sell there. The Peanut Butter Cup is AMAZING!

Ollies is @ 1572 Bella Cruz-

I like Kilwins at Spanish Springs.

Chatbrat 06-08-2018 06:16 AM

KIlwins is a franchise, the same as Culvers--Mystic Ice Cream is a sole proprietorship--
