As enticing as that is, it doesn't address the dearth of good candidates to replace them.

Any non incumbent is a reasonable candidate. Any opposing

candidates qualifications (or not) are reasonable to meet the re-elect no one criteria. Any warm blooded, two legged, lucid candidate beats most of the space takers currently in office that are doing nothing but furthering their own personal agendas.

A prime candidate would be any non lawyer, tax payer that has worked to earn a living.

I couldn't agree with you more. It wouldn't take an intellectual to replace 90%
of the people there. Change I believe in. :highfive::highfive:

I guarantee you there are a lot of people (like me) who simply do not want to subject their family to the kind of "full court press" that the press would put on them.

The least little skeleton in anyone's closet will have them ridiculed, regardless of it's merits. That's one reason I don't run, despite temptation.

I'm sue you;re right, djplong. Why would anyone want to subject himself to the scrutiny?? We lose a lot of good people, who would otherwise run. That leaves us with a lot of candidates that are just in it for what they can get, and not what's best for the country. Unfortuantely, it happens on both sides of the aisle.
