Over the air TV
I'm seriously considering dumping DirecTV. I see several outside antennas, different shapes and sizes. Anybody here use one of them? Did some research and some cover up to 80 miles away. Are there any deed restrictions for antennas, mountings, etc. Thanks for any advice or input.

No restrictions with weight, you have a federal right to put up an antenna to receive television.

I am about to give up on the outside antenna. It appears my location (pinellas) is too LOW for good reception, and I really do not want to put up a 30 foot or taller tower (I know I am legally allowed to do this) as it would not be attractive. I have tried 2 different OTA antennas and even been in communication with a fellow villager that get very good reception (about 1 mile away). He is 25 feet of more higher according to Google Earth. I am going to look into an Amazon Firestick or a Roku as an alternative as soon as I can determine channel availability.

Consideration
Someone one told me when we installed our DirectTV antenna not to put if on the roof as that may cause your
roof warranty to be voided? Not sure how correct that was but it made common sense so did not let it be installed on roof. :coolsmiley: |
