What is the commission rate when selling through TV?
 

If I were to list a home for sale through TV what is their commission rate, anyone know?

Six percent...but you can negotiate with the MLS firms, especially if you agree to list with them and then buy with them. You don't have to succumb to the 800-pound gorilla in the room. Free enterprise still lives.

I believe the question is, "commission rate" when listing with "The Villages." Not MLS. Isn't The Villages higher than 6%, like 8%?

I have a secondary question on this. Is there any flexibility in the commission rate with The Villages?

As an MLS Realtor who works exclusively in The Villages, let me offer a bit of insight here. I cannot speak for the Villages of course, nor would I try, but I can speak for my company, Prestige Properties Realty. The commission rate with most MLS agents is 5 or 6%. Another important factor to consider is the fact that the MLS agents ONLY specialize in and sell resale homes! Please see our ad on Talk of The Villages.
