What to do on these cold days
Like to hear your ideas about what to do when it is to cold to swim, golf, entertainment, and enjoy other outside activities. Here is my list of 10 things to do on a cold day. What do you do? And hiding inside watching reruns and soaps doesn't count.
1. Markets or Marion 2. Butterfly Museum and Florida History Museum in Gainesville 3. Mt Dora shopping (lunch at The Goblin Market) 4. Homosassa State Park 5. Cedar Key 6. Two day trip to Key West (stay at the Pier House or Crown Plaza) Ferry from Tampa 7. Kennedy Space Museum 8. Golf Hall of Fame at TPC Sawgrass 9. Old Town Kissimmee 10 Epcot, Disney World, Universal |
We enjoyed the Carriage Museum, only about a 10 minute ride to get there...gn

I agree, GN. I was gonna suggest that. They also have trail horses and buggy rides over the grounds, which are absolutely beautiful. Its really a pretty place to spend a day there.

Go to GarVino's in LSL, get a cigar from the humidor
a glass of wine and sit in the smoking room and relax and enjoy.
The cold is just another excuse to do it. I usually do it only on holidays and this week is national clean the garage week!!!! btk |

No smoking allowed. Only outside.

In the state of Florida one is allowed to smoke in a tobacco shop.
GarVino's sells wine, has a wine bar and gift shop all non smoking. They have a walk in cigar humidor that is of course non smoking.
They also have a completely separate smoking lounge with flat panel television, large leather chairs; the room is on it's own air conditioning system completely separate from the rest of the store. The room also has an ionizing air purifying system as well as a large capacity exhaust fan. So it is the best of all worlds. A truly civilized way to enjoy a glass of wine and a good cigar. btk |
Sounds like they have it all figured our. We're non-smokers so the smoking bans taking place in recent years was good news for us. I do realize, however, that some people choose to indulge, so this will work for everyone.
