Reason for arriving: Oak Run Ocala a home we inherited from family was too quiet for our taste.
Reason for staying: Great experience this past winter in a rental. We have drunk the Kool Aid.

P.S. If there is a negative our purchase price of a CYV could have purchased a home double the size and nicer 20 miles north in Oak Run or in On top of the World. I will add what good is a huge house in an area where there’s not enough activity?

Reason for staying....LIFE!

The only way I'm out of here is when the man upstairs punches my ticket.
Taxes much less
Electric a hell of a lot less
No home heating oil
No Snow
Gas about the same
Food about the same
Bigger House
Nicer Weather
More to do that I can afford
Most everything I need is a Golf Cart ride away
About says it all !

Then there are those that can't stand being away from the grand kids.....which is not me so I'm going nowhere.

It's a balancing act, isn't it? It is getting too big but, then again, there's nothing like it.

We feel fortunate to have chosen to live here; at the retirement community in the Midwest where we owned a lot on a golf course, the POA recently decided to close that particular course; that would have been a big oops moment in our lives.

We don't have any problems getting tee times because we're flexible; if we go to the grocery store, we go early; if we go out to eat we sometimes wait to mid afternoon to combine lunch and supper.

Sometimes, you just have to learn to adapt.
