This is a first for us.
My wife needed to have an insurance form filled out by her doctor. It was a simple forum about if she is being treated for a certain ailment.
The doctor's office called today to inform us that there is a $15 charge for him to fill out the form. I told them I had never, ever, heard of that before and asked if that's a standard medical practice. The snotty office person firmly informed me that he could not speak for anybody else, but that it is standard practice in their office and that the charge could have been higher. I guess you live and learn. JLK |
This is becoming common practice......even up north.

th, i know u know the old expression, there is a first time for everything, but thanks for the heads up, just curious though did u ask if you could come in and fill the form out for yourself (not saying u would have wanted to do that)...gn

Makes you feel like a valued patient, doesn't it?
Wonder if the form even required the doctor to complete it. Doesn't a clerk usually complete the insurance forms? What's next? Charging customers for the receptionist to answer the phone?
If I only had a nickle for every time I was nickled and dimed... |
