Patio Villa Street parking totally blocking driveway
Issue a friend is having is that there brand new patio villa has a small 1.5 driveway. They also made matters worse and went out and bought a new golf cart :gc:. So it has become necessary for them to park way over in there driveway to allow for the golf cart to enter and exit the garage.
Problem...... neighbor across the street has a care giver that parks on the opposite side of the road 9-5 everyday. Totally blocks, on the opposite side of the road, the new homeowners driveway. To add to the issue the new homeowner drives a dodge ram 1500 crew cab long bed.....huge sucker.....and has found it impossible to get in and out of their own driveway without playing in and out and wiggle manuvers, many times..... what should I suggest to them to do???? |

I am surprised that the 1500 cab fits in either the driveway or the garage. Sometimes when you’re buying a home here you need to realize what you bring from up north or other parts may not fit when you downsize in T V. Hence the reason why we’ve moved three times gone from 1 1/2 car garage to a two car garage to a two car plus golf cart garage. |

Sell the big truck and get a smaller one (or or sell the small house and get a bigger one). :D :D
Or, you COULD ask the caregiver if she would do you a FAVOR and park 1 house down since there is no law being broken . |

Look at it this way one day it may be their caregiver and they will have no where to park except in the road. I am sure the caregiver will understand, That they have caused such a huge hassle, time consuming maneuvers, for them. Unless they are really young and have the attitude of “I can get your truck out in one move” :girlneener: |
Then comes the landscapers trucks and trailers and they don't care where they park,
|
Oh please...even in the villas you can back up. Problem is that many here have a problem going in reverse.

Check your villa's covenants. Parking in the street may be prohibited. Also, check on the size of the truck as far as whether it is too large for the covenants. I believe in some areas the vehicle must be able to fit into the garage.

He/she probably wouldn't mind parking one house away. |
Not problem, just park you're vehicle across from you're driveway so the care giver has to move down the street.

Advise your friends to get rid of the big truck.
