Suggestions for a Locksmith
 

We just purchased a CYV and wish to have the current door lock rekeyed. Can anyone suggest a locksmith?

I just retrieved many prior posts with “locksmith” suggestions using the search option. I know this may be obvious but frequently overlooked.

Does you CYV have Kwikset locks... the key says "Kwikset" on it... many homes in TV do.

If so just go to Ace or Lowes or Home Depot hardware and tell them you want a rekey your lock. The will make new, different, keys for you and give you the tool and instructions to rekey your locks yourself, it's pretty easy.

Thank you yes the locks are Kwikset locks. Good suggestion on rekeying myself. I will keep Neal Purlee’s number handy thank you for that contact info, it could come in handy.

I decided not to change the locks myself and called Neal at Dixie Safe and lock. Not only did he do a great job at a reasonable price but he gave us some hints on security since we will only be here certain months of the year.

I recommend him.
