Old fashioned Butterscotch pie.
I just made a homemade butterscotch pie. . It takes 12 minutes for it to thicken, stirring CONSTANTLY. In a saucepan put four beaten egg yolks, three cups milk, one cup packed dark brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup corn starch and cook over medium heat until it thickens. When it thickens add two tablespoons butter and teaspoon of vanilla. Pour into baked shell and chill. Serve with whipped cream on top.
