Dog Rescue Needs Pee Pads (and other items)

1 Attachment(s)
If anyone has puppy pee pads they can no longer use, there is a rescue that has a dog (see photo below) that has been fighting MRSA and flesh eating disease I know for over 2 years. They have spent a fortune on this little dog. They have compiled a wish list of items they need and pee pads is one of those items. I will post the other things they are asking for, too. Here is a link to their post on Facebook, if you want to check it out. By the way, this is not the rescue I am with, but I do try to help others. Wednesdays Wish

Sally Needs Godparents Please....

Do you remember Sally?
Thrown away by a breeder to meet her fate , she had never had a name, only a number,. We brought Sally into our rescue and found ourselves facing our biggest health crisis to date! Sally, we were to find out was facing MRSA and flesh eating disease!

With the support of GDR followers, wonderful vet care, and the devotion of her foster mom Biya, today Sally thrives! Look closely at these pictures. The silver patches are scars. Scars left from the battle Sally waged against that life threatening infection. On her hip you can see her skin graft area. This brave girl LOVES LIFE and we thank you for all the support you have given her.

A few weeks ago it was found that Sally had started chewing on her skin graft! Sally was rushed to the vet with a serious injury to her leg. After examining Sally, the vet thinks something may have gotten under her skin, causing irritation which led to her chewing. He found purulent drainage (pus), an indication of infection. Sally continues to fight the good fight against the bacteria waging war on her system. Sally’s large wound on her hip is healing, but unfortunately there seems to be a new area of infection on her tail which we hope can be contained and healed quickly.

Sally is a monkey and causes no end of fun times for her foster family with her daily shenanigans of tearing off her bandages (and chewing anything she can reach from her cone)!

Due to her extensive medical needs and delicate condition, the decision was made to make Sally a sanctuary dog and have her stay within the GDR family the rest of her days.
