Eggs
Eggs. You like 'em? You hate 'em? You think they're unhealthy? You think they're delicious?
How you like 'em? Fried, boiled, poached, scrambled? I'd like to know eggs-actly how you feel about this. For the record, I like mine sunny side up with home fries. |
Over medium served on a piece of buttered toast. I like two for breakfast. My sweetie likes hers over hard, broken yolks, no toast and she likes to put a bit of mustard on hers. Both ways are good. I cook all our breakfasts :mornincoffee:

I have a $20 egg poacher from Amazon worth its weight in gold. My favorite way to eat poached eggs is on a mess of adult spinach that has some minced onion and garlic (sautéed in a tsp of olive oil) and then steamed.
My favorite non healthy way to eat them is fried sunny side up with home fries, like Yung Dum. Failing that, homemade quiche. |
Over hard so I can remove the yolks!
I do not do yolks except in scrambled eggs, smothered in ketchup (I mean SMOTHERED)! |

Over easy fried in bacon grease :-)

Duck eggs, fried over easy, or boiled. Local homemade sausage is a bonus.

I'm sunnyside. My wife is over easy (no sniggering).
|
Soft boiled. Got a MICOOK microwave egg cooker from Amazon for about seven dollars. 5-1/2 minutes for perfect soft boiled eggs (3 minutes longer for hard boiled).

I like eggs in any manner but my favorite is a good Benedict.
|
Quiche of any sort with just baked sour dough bread spread with European butter and a good salad. Frittatas, again of any sort, rank second with third being Benedict and/or St. Charles.
|
I make a 1 egg omelette with whatever is in the fridge, meat, veggies, cheese. I heat up a flour tortilla in a skillet on both sides but it's still soft. Then I roll the omelette inside {5 minutes start to finish?}.
|
Scrambled. Usually, make a six-egg omelet for myself.
Eggs are one of the healthiest foods you can eat. They've gotten a bad name because of the cholesterol scare. Eating eggs will actually reduce your LDL and boost your HDL. |
