Yikes, soon to be homeless!!!!!!!!!

Hello to all my soon to be new neighbors!
My hubby Tom and I visited and were hooked on TV just last November. We came home thinking we would work for a few months at sorting out 25 years worth of "stuff" and maybe be able to put the house up for sale in the summer and hopefully sell by the end of the year. A contractor friend of ours came in to give us a price on redoing some floors and well, long story short, his sister and fiance are buying our house with the closing at the end of February. In this market, not even putting the house up for sale, we kinda feel like we're selling it right out from under our feet. Our problem is we've been desperately seeking housing with no luck. If any of you know of anyone who ends up with a rental cancellation for the first two weeks of March could you please post to me here? Any and all help will be greatfully appreciated. I have visions of pillows and blankets at some rest area outside the villages. :22yikes:We do have a small, well trained Bichon...Thanks so much :22yikes::22yikes::22yikes: Suedi

Suedi47,

We have a home for sale on the Historical side of The Villages. If it does not sell by March, we will be happy to rent it to you for a very reasonable rent.

It is completely unfurnished however, would that work for you?

Suedi47 01-25-2010 10:58 PM

nonie,
That would be soooo much better than pillows and a blanket at a rest stop, lol. We will be leaving here on the 27th (barring any blizzards ) and probably at TV 2 or 3 days later. Was going to pack an inflatable mattress anyway just in case. Do you think you could post me back closer to that day and let us know for sure? If we could rent by the week until we find a house you will be our new best friend forever. Good luck in selling your house in any event! Sue DiLibero

I know the comfort suites on 441 behind Chilis is pet friendly. We stayed there back end of Aug, 1st week in Sept. before our closing. There were pets there.

Exact same thing happened to us in the end of 2007. We ended up living in the Sister-in-law's garage for 3 months! :faint:

Microtel's are usually pet friendly, I stay at the Walterboro, SC Microtel with our dog when we travel.

Also, I think Holiday Inn Express in the Villages might be pet friendly
