Good Morning, does anyone know without guessing, what stores/food places will be going in the new stores next to the Walmart Market @ Sarasota Plaza ?

A poster who keeps up on building permits in TV wrote on another thread a couple of months ago that one of the units applied for a permit for a grease trap, so we know one of these places will sell food. Probably food that requires some cooking.

That would eliminate Subway, plus they're already across the road at Colony. We know it's not Jersey Mike's because they're going into Trailwinds in the new building between ABC Liquor and Aldis. Maybe another Chinese/Japanese takeout with a few tables? I've asked employees at Walmart and none of them seem to know either.

I asked an employee of Walmart and he said a dollar store, nail salon and i forget what else he said.

Have you ever noticed that after a location fails from three different restaurants that a Mexican or Asian restaurant usually opens there?

I've heard that Alliant Dermatology will have an office there.

They already have a location in the building closer to 466a. (Right behind the new building.)

We could use another boutique shop for sure.

According to the Construction Update in today's Daily Sun, one unit is National Cremation Society for a sales office. A December opening is planned.

From The Daily Sun Facebook page, posted today:
"One of the nation's fastest growing spa concepts picked The Villages for an expansion. Anesthesiologist Ronald Urton, M.D., expects to open a franchise of Hand & Stone Massage & Facial Spa sometime in February at Sarasota Plaza."

An investor who lives in TV told me it was going to be Florida's first Raising Cane's fast food joint in one of the places.... It's the fifth fastest growing chain in the US. I'll stick with Chick Fil A.

I like the PDQ at Colony Plaza a lot. They have great chicken and I love their salads and bowls.
