Using a jazzy in Fenny

Does anyone know if it is allowed to use a jazzy on the walking and bike paths in fenney?

I don't know for fact but I can't imagine them not allowing them. I see them on Golf cart/bike/walking/running paths and sidewalks all over where we are. Haven't see any on the street diamond lanes though.

What's a jazzy?

motorized chair

I have seen them being used on the trails. Not often.

I would think that a golf cart would be a better choice. I know of a couple of people who use motorized chairs who drive golf carts, but not sure how they get around once they are at their destination, now that I think about it.

The paths are plenty wide enough, and I would assume you can get between those plastic pipes at the intersections that I think are there to keep golf cars out, not sure how wide the spaces are between them.

If you do go on the cart paths, make sure you have a reflective sign on the back. Within the past year a person walking on a cart path was run over by a cart and killed, a slow moving chair would be about the same.

Could you elaborate on this incident? How did a golf cart driver not see a person walking?

Where and when was this?

She's probably referring to the lady who was walking with 2 friends. The 2 friends were on the sidewalk, but because they just HAD to walk 3 abreast, the 1 lady was walking in the cart path with her back to traffic. 2 carts approached, one quickly veered into the road to avoid her, the second couldn't stop in time and hit her. She later died. She was breaking 2 laws, but the police gave the cart driver a ticket.

That's why one should ALWAYS walk FACING traffic.

In Fl, it is illegal yo walk on a roadway if there is a sidewalk adjacent to it
