Word on the street is, if you call Community Watch about a pet lost or found, they are now to call Animal Control and NOT Lost Pets of The Villages.

Sumter County and Marion County are VERY high kill shelters and we know for a fact Sumter County has misrepresented their numbers on THEIR Animal Services reports!

If you care about your pets, please SHARE everywhere and post in NEXTDOOR!!!! Even if you see it in your nextdoor... Post out again to hit ALL the hoods.

We need EVERYONE to *like* Lost Pets of The Villages!!!!

Call us first so we can get your pets back home when they are lost or found.

THE PET YOU SAVE MAY BE YOUR OWN!!!!

I follow Lost Pets of The Villages on Facebook. They have a vast network and go to great lengths to send volunteers out to neighborhoods to both search for lost pets and to try to catch loose pets sighted and bring them into safety. They have chip readers, fosters, and go to great lengths to keep pets out of the Sumter and Marion County kill shelters. Please do not call CW if you find a stray or lose a pet. They will deal with one of these shelters. It could have a bad ending.
