Johnny Rockets, Fish and Chips, very skimpy and spendy....Like a tourist trap...Walking out feeling foolish, checked to see if Johnny Rockets put my Calvin's back on.......

I'm not sure what the point is to fish and chips. It's just fried fish with fries on the side. So, why is this considered a special dish, except that you are calling french fries chips instead of fries?

Has anyone had fish and chips in England? Is it different? 20 years ago if you wanted a Philly Cheesteak you had to go to Pat's. [since then IMHO the bread is too soggy with water from the frozen steak]

In the U.S., I think it is just a marketing gimmick. You can get fries with just about anything you order. No difference from the "chips" you get with the fish and chips.

I'm a Tony Luke fan but once I got there, I always got the pork, broccoli rob, provolone and long hots. There was a place on south street for steaks I liked. It was near the theater that had the Rocky Horror Picture Show. What is the name?

Having Lived in both countries I truly believe there is no such thing as GOOD Fish and Chips in the USA and no such thing as a GOOD Hamburger in the UK.

I'm thinking the OP requested the opinions of the best fish and chips in THE AREA, not all over the world. If that's the case, the best F&C I've had here in TV was on Friday nights at Hacienda Hills CC. AUCE and very reasonable!
