I hope that can get a Boston Market here in the Villages. Really miss there food. There are a number of these in Orlando and one in Ocala.

Carraba's does have takeout. You don't even have to get out of your car. They bring it to you.

Carraba, like Olive Garden, is a pathetic imitation of real italian food.

But I guess if you dont know better you wont be disappointed

Talc ........ go over to Sam's, buy one of their $5.00 chickens, mash up some good potatoes, hearts of lettuce with blue cheese crumbles on the side .... better than anything you could get at Boston Market and much less expensive. Plus you will be left with plenty of chicken for sandwiches and then you can make the carcass into a really healthy chicken soup.

I very much enjoy the fare from Carrabbas. I must say our friends here in The Villages who cook Italian have served us some spectacular food and it was awesome.

I am not sure what criteria is needed to "know better" other than enjoyment of food. I think of myself as limited possibly because I am always worried about shellfish, and avoid a place when the servers do not speak English as their first language because I am never sure they understand my questions about shellfish allergy.

P.S. After thinking about this, perhaps GPSMA only meant that he was lucky enough to be raised in an Italian household and his mom cooked the real deal and anything else was a '"pathetic imitation".

Still yummy to many folks, Carrabas, including an Italian friend who cooks...…………..

The ugly side of internet discussion. I would hope you would not say that to anyone face to face.

I suggest that unless you have been to Italy or have been raised by people that were born in Italy, you have never eaten "real italian food."

What most of us know and enjoy is Italian-American food. Carrabba's does a pretty good job of providing that.
