Parrot Question
 

Is there anyone out there who owns a large bird such as a Parrot, Macaw, cockatoo, and if so, is there a place that provides grooming, boarding, toys, food, etc. Need to know, thanks.

Took me 24 hours or so to get a little bit of information from friends who have 2 cockatiels.

Food etc., they get from either Petco or PetsMart, both of which are in Lady Lake.

They use a Lady Lake based vet, as well: Dr. Tina Merritt.

They never board the birds, as they are afraid of virusesand disease which might be picked up. They've a neighbor who gladly comes and copes as necessary; and yet another neighbor who substitutes.

Most pet owners I know, even dog owners, use the same method of taking care of their children while away: a neighbor!
