Any Affordable Vets For Heartworm Treatment

We adopted a dog with heartworms. Finding that treatment prices quoted are very high. Other people in other area say they pay $400 and $500. Vets here give estimates of around $1,100 to $1,400. Have any of you heard of anyone that does the fast kill treatment for a reasonable price?

If you want fair pricing you will have to go to a vet outside TV (close by)........which there are very many good veterinarians.

The pricing difference is significant....the care equal to or better.

Can you recommend one?

Country Oaks Veternary Clinic in Summerfield.

Live Oak Animal Clinic in Summerfield.

Both are excellent. We use Live Oak for our Dalmatian.

Angie,

I called them. They don't do fast kill.

I can get a rescue discount, but I would have to travel down past Tampa and I hate to travel. So hoping there is some place a lot closer that does do the fast kill.

I've used the Animal Clinic of Lady Lake for other services and thought their rates were reasonable. It's off 27 sort of behind the RaceTrac station.
