Hi, My wife and I started snowbirding in The Villages last year. She was basically new to golf and wanted to 1st get some lessons and then practice at Sarasota, not playing any courses until she was confident enough. She signed up for the lessons, did a lot of practicing at Sarasota, but the best part of what she did was participating in the club rental program. By doing this she was able to try many, many different types and brands of clubs. She is 5'2" and was concerned about the lengths of the shafts, but these were no problem for her. Some were too heavy and some she just didn't hit well with. She definitely liked the feel, the weight and the length of the Callaway Solaire club set. She hit very well with them and eventually did purchase them, waiting for a Callaway Fitting event at the The Villages school to get the 10% discount. It's best to try. There are different ways to get into the club rental program (fittings, lessons or just pay a $50 fee) and you can rent clubs for 3 days at a time over a 3 month period.

Thank you. My wife has been playing for a number of years and is looking for a second set so as not to drag the clubs back and forth since we are seasonal residents. Your comments are typical of what I am reading and were very helpful. She likes the Petite but it only comes in black??? Amazon has for $800 which seems reasonable since others local stores sell for $1000.

The $50 a person pays at Sarasota is for a DEMO program to try clubs out, not a rental program for people for their personal use who come for a period of time and fail to bring their clubs with them because they want to use clubs cheaply.
