For all you seasonal residents here that forward your mail.
The USPS charges $1 on your credit cart to verify its you is legit.
How ever the hard working scammers have found away to compromise the USPS system.
Watch your credit card statement for a charge of any wheres from $25 to $30 by a company called movingagent.org

Actually here's where the problem can occur: Many people do a random search for "address change" and wind up on one of a number of sites run by private businesses. These companies charge anywhere from $17 to $24 to file that simple change of address form for you, something you can do yourself on the official USPS site for a dollar. Simply verify that you are really on the official USPS site Welcome | USPS

I was on USPS site been doing it for years

Dispute with your credit card however I don't think you got "scammed" but probably got caught up in the "web page typo" problem by accidentally typing an incorrect character or maybe clicked the wrong result in a search because the top (PAID AD) search result on Google for USPS ADDRESS CHANGE is their site under another name. You would have had to wind up on their website to fill out their form and typing USPS.COM wouldn't get you there. Or maybe your browser has been hijacked with malware and you got redirected to their site.

We all make mis-steaks.

But you are correct .. it is (intentionally) misleading.
