I've heard good things about Nextdoor and would like to join the network. I'm not sure but it may be by village. Can someone provide information on how to join for the Buttonwood village?

I don't see Buttonwood on the list of 29 Villages neighborhoods that are already on NextDoor.

Newbie here. What is Nextdoor?

I think when you sign up, you just put your address in and it will automatically verify your location.

I use it in my neighborhood up north. Be prepared, you will get a lot of emails. I find it annoying

You can adjust the email stream in your settings. You can turn off the emails all together. Just go to settings...email to set your preferences.

I believe this is the generic website for NextDoor. I think you will find it possible to just put your information into the form and find your local neighbors or villages.

I do not get loaded with emails. It goes into my Junk File and I only open it if I am looking for something. Great site.

Here's a link to the Village of Tamarind Grove Next Door. I think you can sign in with Facebook if you don't want to register. It's been online for about a year. I never get any emails, in fact I forgot about it until I read this thread. A lot of local stuff is disgussed, such as with the pool, shopping at Aldis. Since I played neighborhood softball for five years, I recognize many of the names from playing on the Tamarind Grove team.

We don't get any discussion on our site, it is mainly people looking for recommendations. I have found it useful.

Joined for a week got too many emails of little or no interest so, I checked out

Curious of what kind of emails you get? I've been using NextDoor for 19 months and have not received a single email other than if I made a post and got a notification of a reply (just like here). I'm pretty sure you can opt out of all emails as most forum type of services allow.
