Recreation activity paper
 

Snowbird just returning and was so looking forward to getting the rec paper listing all the clubs today. Went to buy the paper to get it and appears it’s no longer included in the newspaper. So went to a rec center to get one. SO disappointed with size of the paper! It used to be so impressive to share with friends etc and now there’s 6 pages of club descriptions. That’s it. I know it’s online also but it’s hardly the same. I used to look forward to Thursday so much to get the rec club listing. What the heck happened and is this the way it is from now on? No more full listing descriptions of all the clubs? Very sad that there they appear to not be printing full listings anymore to share with people.

Any thoughts?

If the search function was working you could find a number of threads discussing this topic.

Every other week is a full listing.

Yes there were numerous posts on here about the waste of paper etc. so it was reduced no loss

You AND your friends can check the activities online.

The very vocal minority won the day and we are saving about $5 per year per residence as a result .

I got one in my newspaper on this Thursday.

I also got one on Thursday that is the day it comes in the paper. You can get the same thing at the Rec Centers and it is smaller than it was to save money.

if you buy the daily sun (rather than subscribe) the rec paper is not included.

Well, I guess it's already been bitched about tons but it's news to us Snowbirds so the lines will be all lit up.....
