Brownwood Farmers Market

There used to be a man who had a booth at the farmers market that sold loaf's of bread and rolls etc. But lately he has not been there. I really enjoyed the bread and disappointed the booth is not there. Anyone know what happened?

You may be thinking about the French baker and his wife. If so, never fear, he will return and very soon. They spend the summer in France with his family and return to this area in the winter. He is at SS and Brownwood Farmer's Markets.

He was located on the corner, last stall across from the vegetable monger that hawks about wanting to go home. I also miss him.

He should be back in a week or 2. Usually comes back 1st or 2nd week of November.

SS Farmer's Market shuts down for the summer. It will be open again soon. There will be an announcement in the paper when it is open again.

SS farmer's market will not be back. They have shut it down for good.
Just go to market of marion, it's easier than Brownwood.

Oh, darn it, my nearest market for the French Baker. Oh well, life is all about change.

I remember the french baker. That's not the one I am asking about. The one I'm talking about sold large loafs of sliced bread and some rolls.

I think I know who you mean. I used to buy a really big long thick sliced sour dough bread from him, was about $8.00 for a loaf. Made great toast. He had a really big tent, long table with two smaller tables at the ends. Is that the one?

Yes, that's the one. He hasn't been to Brownwood's farmers market in a while.

Maybe he is a seasonal seller. Could be back for the winter again.
