Rip Off Report

Today in the mail I received an invitation from Premier Financial Resources Inc. I Checked them out online and found out they have over 57,000 complaints. Just a warning before you sign up for a free lunch at Waterfront Inn. Len & Mary

Who said "there ain't no free lunch" ?? Actually you CAN have a free lunch just don't get sucked in by the sales pitch. ;)

This tells me the Villages and Waterfront Inn do not care about us villagers. If they approved this kind of activity without checking the background, they don't care. They are only interested in the rental fee from the room rent. What a shame !!!!

The same goes for Colony Tire Choice-they destroyed a villagers car more than 10 months ago--he has gotten zero satisfaction- Tire Choice has tons of compaints--got to go along that everything is ok as long as they pay rent

I didn't realize we got protection included in our home purchase. Maybe part of the amenities fees?

I'm Confused

I'm confused what does the villages have to do with a "Private Business" renting out a meeting room? As adults, living as long as we have, we shouldn't need a baby sitter. Go on line and check things out before you get suckered. Len

Good advice, Len. There are a lot of people out there using fear tactics with the recent stock market dip. Thanks for your post.

One of our friends recently did an experiment. They had free lunch or dinner almost everyday for a month. This was all due to the many mail invitations from financial planners

Curious ..... where do I find these "57,000 complaints." Before getting a free lunch I'd like to find out about who is providing the free meal to be sure the food is safe. :D

On a very quick look I did find a lawyer who wrote an article about the owner selling "questionable" annuities but looking for some actual complaints. I'd settle for a couple hundred, 57,000 not necessary and also a review of their lunch caterer.

I know people who have done that for years. Meals, shows, tours, trips. I tried it once about 50 years ago for free tickets to Lion Country Safari when my new wife and I were walking down Collins Ave in Miami (edit: add BEACH) looking like obvious tourists after returning from our honeymoon or some vacvation and before we headed back up north. That was the last time for us but some people just love taking advantage of these companies by taking them up on their offers.

I totally agree with your views. But having been born in Miami Beach (an actual separate city from Miami) I must say that Collins Avenue is located in Miami Beach, not Miami. LOL!

I don't agree that these people are taking advantage of the companies. As I understand it, the offer is to listen to a sales pitch and get a free meal. That is the deal and the people who come are meeting their obligation to the company. It is similar to watching a television show and not buying the products advertised in the commercials.
