Activity for kids
 

We have family coming in the middle of December and looking for things to do for girls that are 4 and 5 years old. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Read to them, bake cookies with them, let them use your makeup and let them dress up in your sparkly clothes and jewelry. Show them pictures of their parent when they were little and tell them some of things that parent did. (Unless the parent can afford to pay you off). Get sidewalk chalk and have them fix up your driveway and walks. Get an old paint brush and let them water paint the driveway. Let them have a little too much candy. Order some paperdolls from ebay and show them how much fun they are. These are important memories you are makin'.

My grand-girls (age 5) LOVE nature walks. Stop along the way and LOOK at lawn ornaments. Name trees. Let them TOUCH trees and FEEL the bark. They love texture. Look closely for ants. Go to ponds and look for guppies. The Glenview entrance at Buena Vista roundabout has HUGE Koi in the pond. Follow the anoles in your yard. EXPLORE. Let them see the sand cranes up close. Find eagles!!!
