Computer Guy Recommendation
Just had my laptop computer worked on by Roger 430-0101. He's a fulltime Villager and he's extrmely knowlegeable, comes to your house, and doesn't "break the bank" in his charges. Got my computer cleaned up and running again, set up wireless system...LUV IT!! Highly recommend him.

Computer Help
I had issues with both my laptop and desktop computers. They were running very slow and took forever to boot up. I called On Site Computer Services after reading about them on TOTV. Jason came to my house and tuned up both computers and down loaded some updates and now they're running smooth. He diagnosed the issues right away and got them addressed. His fee was very reasonable. He came at the appointed time, even a little earlier. I would recommend him to anyone. 352/638-1865 :Screen_of_Death:

What is reasonable charges? Can you share that info.

Lincoln, I don't think it would be prudent for mee to quote any figures here. If you call them they'll give you the hourly rate and other details. You won't be disappointed.

VCC computer helpers
I had a malware problem. I went to "The Villages Computer Club" web site. They have a 'VCC Helper' list. If the club is reading this, the page is over 2 years old and needs updating. There are 11 Villagers' names on it with their phone numbers and some with their rates.
I called up Bobbie Seabolt and she came over the same day and fixed my original problem PLUS helped make my laptop more efficient. I highly recommend her.:D http://www.thevillagescomputerclub.com/helpers.htm |

I think that you should call and explain your situation and see what the charge is and work from there. Too many times have I told people I got this service for XX dollars and they tell me that same service provider wanted YY dollars. Each situation is different and my telling them to call and ask saves me the problem of trying to explain myself. |
I understand your position but I'm a big boy. I know that different things have different prices. I wouldn't expect it any other way.
By asking what someone paid for something, I'm merely trying to get an approximate price range, not lock in a price. If they don't want to share that information, that's certainly their right and I don't have a problem with that at all. When I hired someone to care for my lawn in TV I asked neighbors who they used and what they paid. Otherwise I would have had no idea what the price range should be. Here in NY I've used lawn services a few times for short periods for health reasons and they are much more expensive here than in TV. That's why I asked those questions. If someone asks me what I paid for an item or service I'm happy to give them an honest answer. I don't feel compelled to explain myself. |
prices
I was in sales my entire life before I retired and I always gave quotes to my customers, its not a bad thing giving people quotes, all it does is keep other retailer honest.

I get your Drift.... and completely agree with you. Thanks
