Any rumors yet?
 

Has anyone heard anything yet on what will replace Guy Fieri's?

A restaurant called the Chop House. Meat will be their specialty.

I still miss the old TGI Fridays, we ate there several times when visiting prior to moving down here.

I have it on poor information that the rumor of a gentleman's club tentatively named "Silver Ladies" aka "Droopers" is true.
Do you have any suggestions of the proposed name?

I guess I should have said substantiated rumors...:ohdear:

Currently, the restaurant is being renovated and it will be a Chop House.

Thank you, I never know around here what is true and what is not. I am happy to hear that this is an actual answer.

This is too vague. Whose Chop House? I googled chop house and got way too many hits using these 2 words.

In my opinion, based on the track record for that location, only a restaurateur with a death wish would open a business there.

It is an independently owned restaurant. You will not find anything online. It will be several months to complete the renovation. The new owner is a very experienced restaurant owner. There is not a good steak house within TV. Run correctly with good service it will succeed.

If it is Manny's from haines city it woud be great love there food

Not Manny's. The new restaurant is not a chain. Independently owned.

The word is it will be run by the FMK Group ( Belle Glade, Bluefin, Bonifay, etc.) If they do it as well as Bluefin, it will be a winner.

My wishes: USDA Prime meats, New Zealand Lamb Chops, great sides and a selection of sauces on the side ( bearnaise, chimichurri, peppercorn, you get the idea!). Oh, and a proper Vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives.

The Chop House is a chain (if it's the same Chop House, 12 locations from Ohio to Georgia) and isn't surprising that FMK would pick up the franchise.....if true. They seem successful with Blue Fin which is an upgrade to most restaurants here so taking on an in TV upgrade steakhouse south of Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse is reasonable. Only hope they find a way to soften the sound in that place.

This restaurant will not be part of a chain. It is an independent restaurant. It will be higher quality than TR and Longhorn. The restaurant is a total remodel.

A top line steakhouse is usually a quieter atmosphere. Morton's is a good example. Actually, let's hope for one.
