Hacienda CC Christmas Buffet

Anyone do the Christmas buffet at Hacienda CC. We did it last year and thought it was great. This year not so much. The food was cold and most items were starch. Few vegies. Pork roast was dry and there were few choices on the desert table The price was high and didn't even include tea or coffee. Very disappointed. Will have to find a different one next year. The meal would have been much better at Golden Corral and a lot cheaper.

Sounds like the new manager/owner doesn't have his **** together. :ohdear::ohdear:

Wife and I had our usual Christmas Buffet at home, beautifully prepared as usual.
Gruel and water, but as a treat a sachet of sugar in the gruel!

This place needs an owner who knows the restaurant business. Replace the owner!

The owner has several other restaurants in The Villages that do very well. It's been management up until now. The previous manager was terrible and was fired. The new guy seems to know what he's doing. I'm surprised that the Christmas buffet was below standard.

We had reservation for 4 people. It was sold out, but when we got to the entrance, we were told to sit at the bar. What actually happened was people who had booked for 2 actually brought guests with them making 4, this happened several times, therefore they became over booked, so we sat at the bar until they had tables and it was after 6 pm before we got a table. When we went to get our food it was all cold, and tasted less than desirable. We were refunded 25 per cent, but that was not near enough for the lousy quality of food we had to eat. Our waiter also was hard to find most of the night. The one good thing we took away was the bartender was very good, although she had no help most of the evening there attending bar.

Did Thanksgiving there this year. Buffett was ok until we got to the dessert. It was a small variety of nearly frozen pies-just out of the fridge. UGHHH. Probably will not return unless reviews improve significantly.

He has the WOB's which may do well because of the product, not the service. Then he has Glenview where if you search reviews has gone way down. Who is responsible for the management of YOUR restaurants ? Who hired them ? Give me a break, these places need an owner who knows the business.
