SonRise Cafe
 
Just got back in from home in NC after the Holidays and found that the SonRise Cafe on Wedgewood has been closed and will reopen as a Darrells. Does anyone know if SonRise is reopening somewhere else. Love the breakfasts at SonRise and the staff. Had no idea when we left in November that it was closing.

The owner’s of Sonrise are directing their efforts to Sammy Joes in Mulberry Plaza, and their restaurant on Hwy 301. Last Sunday was the last day for Sonrise.

The restaurant on 301 is Ocala based.

Bummer, Sonrise was our favorite breakfast place. We have found Darrell's to be OK, but nothing special. The one good thing about Darrell's (at least the one in Spanish Springs) is that there is outside seating where our dog is welcome to join us.

We went to Sunrise cafe every Sunday with friends. They were closed yesterday so we went to Lil Bits across the street (101). Had a lovely breakfast with a friendly staff.

Breakfast Now Being Served at Sammy Joe's Pizza
 
Was there Saturday evening and there were signs stating they were now open for breakfast. Not sure of the hours and other details.

Sorry to see Sonrise go but apparently it was a good business deal for the owner. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Sonrise and I think it was the Servers and the Owner’s pleasant personality as much as the food. They will be a “tough act” to follow.

Agree Sonrise was different and good...............Not a Darrell's fan.

Sammy Joe’s has always been open for breakfast. They are our “go to” place when playing golf in the area.

Have been to Darrell's in Pinellas. OK food, somewhat overpriced.
