New HVAC

We’re going to replace our ten year old system before it fails.

Any suggestions as to a reliable, reasonable AC contractor? We’re looking to get quotes so we can make a rational—not rushed—decision.

I almost didn't respond because I know you are looking for a couple of names but ... Chuck Farrell is our guy too!

You should also consider a recommendation from Chuck Ferrel as to whether it makes sense to replace a perfectly good system even at 10 years old.

Ours was installed in 2004 hence going on 15 years old.
There is a life of these things some where between 14-20 years.

And yes some do crap out earlier.

Ask Chuck.

Thanks. I will do as you suggest. Several neighbors on our street have had to replace their units just when they hit 10 years. Almost simultaneously. We thought if we don’t wait for it to breakdown, we could beat the stress of having it fail during 90 degree weather or even when we’re not here. I’ll see what Chuck thinks.

Thank you all for your responses.
