Need some input please
We have been trying to decide what sort of plantings we should put behind our lanai for some decoration and privacy. From other posts that I have read, I have seen bottlebrush and ligustrum (sp?) recommended. What about sweet viburnum? Has anyone used it? They are so full, I was wondering why more people don't use it.

We have bottlebrush and oleander in our side yard. I like them - they grow tall and fill in. The bottlebrush winters nicely - especially considering the winter we just had.

We had Viburnum shrubs planted with some Pampas grass in front of some of the shrubs to form a beautiful hedge and wonderful privacy. Jeff from Sunscape did the work and we have been very happy. The Viburnum make a terrific hedge and are great for this area.

Thanks Jojo and Halle. I just think the viburnum looks so lush and it is flush to the ground. Plus, doesn't it have sweet smelling flowers in the spring? It looked like it wintered better than a lot of plants around. I was just curious as to why people haven't used it more.
