Carol Channing dead at 97
 

This just popped up on my computer - Carol Channing dead at 97. Was she really 97? I remember seeing her in the not too distant past and she must have been well up in years then! Good for her, rest in peace Carol!

Quote from an obituary: "Over the years, Channing continued as Dolly in national tours, the last in 1996, when she was in her 70s. Tom Shales of The Washington Post called her "the ninth wonder of the world."

Just heard her one of a kind voice singing "Hello Dolly"...
