Irrigation Water Supply

Do the homes in the Fenney area have a separate water supply for the potable water and the irrigation water? If not can they be separated? I don't want to irrigate the landscape with filtered water.

If that area has a separate non potable water supply for irrigation, you will have 2 meters. If not, the irrigation will come from the domestic water which can be split, but not metered separately.

Irrigation for homes in Fenney use non-potable water.

All homes south of 466 use water from retention ponds to irrigate the yards.

From VCCD website:

"South of CR 466, homes are irrigated with non-potable water which is comprised of storm water runoff that is collected in water retention areas and groundwater from the lower Floridan aquifer when storm water supplies are not available."

Not sure if that includes all the homes in the Southern Oak Villages south of SR44

The irrigation system is supplied from shallow wells s of 466 The only irrigation provided from retention ponds is the golf courses!!

The OP's question has been answered, but some replies contain incorrect information.

The systems is very complex and easily misunderstood. Here is a summary:
North of 466
** Residential irrigation water is potable water.
** Golf course and roadway irrigation water is storm water and reclaimed wastewater stored in retention basins. It is supplemented with Lower Floridan aquafer (deep) groundwater when needed.

South of 466

** Residential irrigation water is storm water stored in retention basins. It is supplemented with Lower Floridan aquifer (deep) groundwater when needed.
** Golf course and roadway water is reclaimed wastewater stored in retention basins. It is supplemented with Lower Floridan aquifer (deep) groundwater when needed.

All the basins may look the same, but there are actually 14 types of basins. South of 466, some basins store residential irrigation water. Others store golf course and roadway irrigation water.
