Jersey Mike's Subs
Hubby and I tried here recently and found it to be a really good sandwich shop. Very fresh ingredients and decent prices -- delicious! They are located in Rolling Acres Plaza (next Moe's). Pleasant young couple from Mississippi own it.

Look for their coupons in the Daily Sun.

I agree with the posters above. This is a really good sub shop and well worth a visit. You get your sandwich your way.

Been eating Jersey Mike's Subs for years and they are the best. I was thrilled to see one in the villages.

I am very selfish. I've known about Jersey Mike's since they opened. I've known that once they were discovered here, the lines will just get longer.

Where are they located?

Seemed pretty over-priced to us.

I will probably stick with the sub from Publix. It is made fresh and it is only a five minute cart ride from home.

Changes to Publix Subs?
I used to agree that Publix made a good sub, but the last time I was there, they had the meats all pre-portioned like Subway and there was only one slice of turkey, ham, and roast beef in their ultimate sub. Quite a difference from previous subs. This was the Colony location. On our trips to visit the kids in St. Augustine, we stop at the Publix in Palatka, and they make a nice sub. So, I don't know if this is a local change, a permanent change, or a system-wide change. We now go to Sweetbay and they make a nice sub as well. Hope they don't go the Subway route.
(Bugs the heck out of me to see those Subway ads with subs full of meat and toppings, then see what they actually give you when you buy one.):grumpy: |
We also like the subs at Sweetbay, made to order, plenty of meat, fresh bread and all the toppings/condiments you want for $5.50. What does a Jersey Mike sub cost?.............gn

The Publix at Mulberry does have the meat presliced and in "kit" form. But I think there is enough meat on the Italian hoagie - whether it is the Publix's meat or Boar's Head meat.
