We Are Counting Down the Days . . .
 

Only 10 more days and we will become year-round Villagers! Our first and only lifestyle visit was in November, when we drank way, way too much cool-aid. We hurried back home to sell our house and most of our possessions -- and now we are packing up. Thank you to all the kind folks who post such interesting, funny and informative things on this forum. We can't wait to join you! :MOJE_whot:

We had one lifestyle visit in March 2009. We purchased the home a week later when we got home and closed in September. Owner wanted to wait that long, it suited us just fine. We sold our home and we are on our way in June. We are scared to leave the area we have lived in all our lives (Delaware) but TOTV and some relatives who live in TV have convinced us it is the place to be!

We are in Belvedere, what village are you moving to?

Congrats to both of you. It really is a great place to live. The people here are some of the kindest and warmest you will ever meet. You'll keep as busy as you want -- just try to remember some down time is a good thing.

Congrats to both of you and welcome to The Villages!! To everyone counting days...believe me I did the same thing and I think I made everyone crazy...LOL. But we are finally fulltimers (as of Feb. 1) and I thought it would never get here....so hang in there your time will come and it's as wonderful as you think it is.

Thanks for the encouragement to hang on. The hardest part is knowing our home is there and mostly being used by others while we work our way there.

How long was your countdown? We started at about 2025 days so we have come a long way!

I started counting after we bought our place....I think it was around 455 days. We were lucky ...because we lived in South Florida (only 4 hrs away) we came up often to visit. Hang in there!!!!
